Malalane is located on the outskirts of the southern Kruger National Park within South Africa's Mpumalanga province where there are a number of day tours available.

 

Malalane is in close proximity to Swaziland, and therefore we can offer day tour to this picturesque Kingdom. Malalane is also a mere two hour road transfer to Maputo in Mozambique and a day tour to this fabulous 'salsa' coastal city where the seafood is legendary is also an option.

Savour a traditional South African meal under the stars in the middle of a private game reserve, or visit the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Eden, or track Africa's Big Five on safari in the glorious wilderness of the Kruger National Park.

Kruger National Park Open Vehicle Safaris (Full and Half Day Tour)
Join one of our half day or full day tours in the Kruger National Park, unrivaled in it’s variety of wildlife – 147 species of mammals and more than 500 species of bird recorded. All safaris are conducted in open safari vehicles to allow for superb photographic opportunities of all of Kruger's inhabitants, big and small and are accompanied by qualified and experienced field guides/rangers.

Usually the Kruger National Park safaris are at the following times:
Summer time Morning safari is from 5am - 12.30pm (October - March)
Winter time Morning safari is from 6am - 12.30pm (April - September)

Summer time Afternoon safari is from 2pm - 6pm (October - March)
Winter time Afternoon safari is from 1.30pm - 5.30pm (April - September)

Summer time Full-Day safari is from 5am - 6pm (October - March)
Winter time Full-Day safari is from 6am - 5.30pm (April - September)

Morning Bush Walk (Half Day Tour)
Breathe deeply, for the adventure of a lifetime. On with your boots, we’re going walking deep into the African bush at sunrise. Accompanied by two knowledgeable, armed bush trackers, we set off quietly to follow the spoor of game, learning about their movements and the significance of certain marks or sounds.

We learn how to identify plants and birds too. It’s a glorious morning, with the opportunity of seeing wildlife up close, as well as honing our tracking skills. You’ll have earned your morning cup of coffee!

Jane Goodall Institute - Chimpanzee Eden (Half Day Tour)
A unique opportunity to see Chimpanzees in semi-wild surroundings in the first and only sanctuary in South Africa. Experience feeding time, watch the Chimpanzees approach from multiple viewing decks and Meet the Head Curator - top specialist in Great Apes and on Chimpanzee behaviour.

Visit the Educational Hall with multi media and signage illustrations. Light lunch is included.

Mozambique Day Tour (Full Day Tour)
Visit Mozambique where Vasco Da Gama landed in 1498 on his way to India. From one country to another in a matter of minutes... the people of Swaziland are friendly and welcoming people, lush and fertile valleys, magnificent mountain scenery all make up the beauty of Swaziland.

Enjoy a scenic drive over the Maguga Dam Wall - catch a glimpse of the Banana Leaf Dancers, Nsangwini Rock Art - learn about the origins of the Swazi people from Bushman paintings in a rock shelter dramatically perched above the scenic Komati River, Shop at the Ngwenya Glass Factory and watch highly skilled glass blowers at work. All items are handmade from recycled glass. Visit a traditional Craft Centre. Light lunch is included.
