Alternative suggestions: Victoria Falls Safari Lodge or Club, Victoria Falls Hotel

Elephant Camp:
The Elephant Camp accommodation
Situated on a private concession within and bounded by the Masuwe River and the Zambezi gorges, The Elephant Camp has breathtaking views of the Victoria Falls’ spray, and the spectacular gorges which separate Zimbabwe and Zambia.

The Elephant Camp is a luxury and intimate lodge under canvas within easy reach of Victoria Falls and all its attractions and activities, yet secluded in its own private game reserve so as to allow closeup encounters with wildlife.

Access is by road transfer from Victoria Falls (15 kilometers from Victoria Falls Airport and 10 kilometers from Victoria Falls town), Livingstone and Kasane.

The private concession is also home to The Vic Falls Wildlife Trust.

The Elephant Camp pool
Two camps flow from the African landscape: The Elephant Camp Main which consists of 12 luxury suites and The Elephant Camp West consisting of only four suites.
The Elephant Camp Main
The Elephant Camp’s suites display their own unique elegance, with a picturesque view spilling before them. Each tent adorns a spacious deck, a private plunge pool and an outside shower, all of which are ideal locations for relaxation and appreciation of the surrounding landscape.
Even the bath offers an unparalleled view of the horizon. The rooms have been deliberately sculpted to celebrate the openness of the African bush, and there is an easy flow from the bathroom to bedroom to private lounging area that spreads onto the spacious deck through glass French doors.
The stylish furnishing and décor has been specifically selected to capture the beauty of the natural environment, retaining the authenticity of the African wilderness.
The Elephant Camp West is ideal for exclusive use by smaller groups and families seeking a more intimate safari experience. The four luxury tented suites all have a dramatic view of the archetypal African landscape and the impressive cloud of mist that sits on top of the horizon above the Victoria Falls rainforest.
The spacious, “marquis-style” tents have their own private deck and personal plunge pools that are perched above the Victoria Falls National Park with the Mosi Oa Tunya (smoke that thunders) in view.

The Elephant Camp offers close interaction with wildlife – in particular elephant at the Wild Horizons Wildlife Sanctuary. All guests staying at The Elephant Camp will have an opportunity to meet the Wild Horizons elephants. All other activities on offer in Victoria Falls area are available at an additional cost.

Selected Spa Treatments available in the privacy of your suite (subject to availability, on request at an additional charge).

Children over the age of 7 are most welcome at both of The Elephant Camp's (unless one camp is booked exclusively whereby we will accept children of all ages). Children aged 7-12 years will be charged 50% of the adults sharing rate (except when booking a family suite in Green Season - 01 November to 20 December 2019, 11 January to 31 March 2020 & 01 November to 20 December 2020).

Day 3 & 4
Transfer by road and boat to Kasane immigration for your onward boat transfer to Zambezi Queen (Namibia), for 2 nights. En-route you will clear Namibian immigration formalities.
The Zambezi Queen is based a few kilometers from where four countries meet, namely; Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia. The view is ever-changing: elephants wading in the shallows or crossing in merry groups, fish eagles wheeling overhead, sunsets that will take your breath away.
10 Suites and 4 Master Suites - All Suites and Master Suites are en-suite with private balconies, king size beds (can on request be divided into twin beds), and are furnished to the highest level. With thoughtful amenities to cater for your every need.
Two of the four Master Suites have their own private deck with outdoor furniture and the remaining two having superb panoramic views with doors and windows on two sides. All Suites accommodate 2 guests except for two suites (24 and 26) which have an extra sleeper couch.
The top deck consists of the dining room, the lounge including a wood burning fireplace, a bar and a sunbathing area complete with private pool. The interior furnishings have been designed by one of South Africa’s top designers and this can be seen by the elegant, timeless look that has been created. Also to be found in the living area is a library of books, numerous games and a telescope for studying the stars at night.
Zambezi Queen standard suite
Other suggested camps: Chobe Princess Houseboats or Susuwe Island Lodge
Guests arriving with the 1pm and 2pm transfers will be served lunch while guests being transferred at 3pm or 4pm will join us for a snack before the sunset cruise by tender boat starts.
Late afternoon, once all our guests have boarded, we go in search of some big game by tender boat. This is the perfect time of day to make the most of that golden glow of the African sunset by getting some iconic shots of the animals as they gravitate towards the river before night falls.
Return back to the Zambezi Queen, no doubt with a stunning array of photos waiting to be swapped with fellow guests. After a quick freshen up, the Captain will await you on the upper deck with a welcome drink, ready for an official welcome and his safety briefing. The cheerful atmosphere continues as you make you way to the dining room where a delightful three-course dinner is served with an excellent choice of paired wines. Retire to the distant night sounds of Africa.
Day 2 on Zambezi Queen
Unlike most lodges expecting guests to rise at the crack of dawn, we have a leisurely start to the day when meeting up for breakfast on the upper deck before the morning activities start.
Activities range from water-based safaris, bird watching, visiting a traditional working village on the Namibian side of the river or fishing. You may even decide to simply remain on-board as the Zambezi Queen makes its way along the banks of the Chobe River.

Lunch is usually served buffet-style as the Zambezi Queen makes its way along the banks of the Chobe River. The unique vantage point allows for magnificent views and with splendid views, you may wish to while your afternoon away here before the afternoon activities start.
Join our guide in the afternoon for a water-based safari on tender-boat where you can get up close to some of the approximate 120 000 elephants that the Chobe is known for.
Returning to the Zambezi Queen, tonight you’ll enjoy an African-themed dinner before settling down for a quiet night on the Chobe.
Day 3 on Zambezi Queen (Day 5)
Enjoy a morning cruise during breakfast before bidding our crew a reluctant farewell.
Day 5 & 6
Transfer by boat to Kasane Immigration, clearing Namibia immigration formalities en-route for your road transfer to Ngoma Safari Lodge (Botswana), for 2 nights.
