Customer Feedback
Let us help plan your Africa Vacation or safari. Our clients love us and we are constantly getting positive feedback on their honeymoons, safaris and vacations.
Herewith some of the feedback we get from our clients (we update this page every 6 months or so as we are busy assisting our clients!):
Jamie & Shari (USA): Self drive golfing tour (9 rounds) and safari:
I don't know where to start. Shari and I are in a state of shock that the 3 weeks is over already. We have had some great vacations in the past (all structured and guided), and were a little nervous about taking off on our own this time, but it turned into the best vacation we have ever had. When Avis was there to greet us at the airport, we knew that everything was set up. You probably should not have set up our first stop at such a phenomenal place as Steenberg, especially getting us a room in the Manor House. They treated us like royalty and the included golf, dinner, wine-tasting and wine cellar tour were exceptional. They anticipated and took care of all our needs , including setting us up two after golf tours; one of the entire cape, and the other just of the city of Capetown itself.
Mosselberg in Hermanus and Devonvale in Stellenbosch were great places also. We whale watched and golfed at Hermanus the first day, (Arabella may be my favorite, most scenic course of all the great courses we played), then the 2nd day the whales were right outside our window which opened right onto the bay - great fun. Our host at Devonvale recommended the wineries to visit (there are 200 in the area), so we got to participate in a local weekly Sunday family oriented wine, beer, food fest at one winery all afternoon and hang out with the locals - great fun. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed the S. African people. They are friendly, helpful and fun. The drive to George was an adventure as we missed a turn somewhere and we ended up going via a scenic mountain route, rather than the N2 as the GPS advised, but we saw some great mountains and valleys, went thru several small towns and still made it to Fancourt to play golf that first day.
I don't know how you got us into the Manor House at Fancourt, but that place had to be the highlight of our trip. Way above anything we have ever experienced with the butlers available, complimentary everything in our room, every need anticipated in advance. We asked about recommendations for eating downtown one evening, and ended up being delivered to and picked up at a wonderful local restaurant in a huge BMW 740 all courtesy of the Manor House. What a wonderful place, and that isn't even mentioning the golf, which also was a special treat. The Links is expensive, but the experience with the caddies, and the historic clubhouse and golf course was worth every penny of it. We hated to leave but the next stop at Conrad Pezula was, of course, high class. The golf at Pezula with its Indian ocean series of holes and Simola with each's steep mountain terrain were very difficult, the most unique golf we have ever played and we have played mountain courses here in Colorado. I hope our pictures do them justice.
The Plettenberg, right on Plettenberg Bay was another wonderful stay, with a great restaurant and that small, boutique hotel experience, that we came to enjoy maybe even more than the big opulent chain hotels prevalent here in the U.S. The service, friendliness of all the staff from general managers, bar tenders and waiters, down to the maids is just a fun eperience. They treat you like family rather than guests. We didn't really know what to expect at Shamwari; but what a way to end such a wonderful vacation. Our ranger was a real pro, knew the animals and their habits as if they were his family, and was able to spot and get closer to large and small exotic animals than we ever imagined. Hunting for wild game in the bush is tougher than I expected, with the 5:30 am wake-up calls, cool mornings, cool evenings on the afternoon drives and rough washed-out roads (or no roads at all), but seeing and getting that close to animals you have only seen pictures of or heard stories about is an experience we will never forget. Just hope our pictures come out to keep these memories lasting thru our lifetime.
But most of all we want to thank you, Jenny McGregor, for turning our dream trip into a reality. It was way above what we expected when we first started talking about such a trip. Even after you came up with that first itinerary, which we had to adjust some as time went by, we did not imagine that such a wonderful trip could be had in of all places, S. Africa. My family and friends are not going to believe our experience until they see our photo's and video's. Hard to believe that such an ambitious trip could be set up over the internet, with no direct talking to each other. We know it took a lot of time and hard work on your part, and want you to know what a relief it was to walk into each new place we stayed and find them expecting us, and everything set up just as you said it would be. Usually we are ready to get back home after a long vacation, but this one we could not believe the 3 weeks was up and that we had to pack for that long flight home. If you or your company ever needs a reference or referral, do not hesitate to send that customer to me. We are still in awe of what occurred the past 3 weeks.
Thanks from the bottom of our heart and continued success in your travel business!!
Carl (Sweden) - celebrated his 60th birthday with a group of friends at Ngala Safari Lodge
There's only one word for our trip and that is beyond. Our stay was more than our expectations. The kind and considerate staff, the setting at each dinner, the game drives - everything was amazing. We've allready recommended Ngala and your agency to many of our friends and colleagues. Thank you so much.
Chandra (India) - 2 week family trip of South Africa
Jenny I am so happy with the trip and all your arrangements and I would definitely recommend my friends and family to visit South Africa and contact you for a wonderful time!
Thank you so so much for arranging and recommending all the items and places on our trip. Deeply appreciate it!
Hannah & Leonie (South Africa) - Chobe Safari Lodge
Leonie and I had an amazing trip to Botswana - the lodge was perfect and all of our excursions were great. Everyone there was SO helpful and friendly, we really loved all of the people and they made our trip extra special. Everything from the Happy Birthday that Leonie received from the restaurant staff to the lion cubs we saw whilst out on safari - it was all just perfect!!! We packed so much into our few days and it was 100% worth it - thanks so much for your help organising the trip, it was a pleasure to deal with you throughout the booking process and a stark contrast to so many other frustrating travel companies.
Look forward to hopefully dealing with you again in the future. Big thanks!!!
Brad, Bud & Ken (USA) - safari to Phinda Private Game Reserve
Bud: We all got back safe and sound. It was the trip of a lifetime! Thanks so much for your great work in making it so enjoyable!
Ken: I have to thank you for such an incredible vacation. This was probably the best vacation I've ever taken. Phinda was the most incredible experience ever. Truly a dream vacation and I'm very blessed to have been able to do this.
Thanks again for all the time and effort you spent on helping us put this together.
Mr & Mrs Braxton (USA): Cape Town & Kruger
Lewis: Wow!!! What an experience. My wife and I found this to be a lifetime event. We are so juiced about this trip, that we are already thinking about how and when can we do this again. Your staff was just outstanding in making us feel at home. And I will never forget how we all danced the evening away on our last night there.
Hopefully, within two years, we can do this again.
Venoncia: I am in my first day back at work and have such wonderful memories of the vacation especially the safari. It’s all I can talk about. The experience is one I will never forget and hope to one day return to Chapungu. Our visit to Cape Town was also fabulous. Your staff were so gracious and hospitable it felt like we had known each other for years. We both had the time of our life in Africa.
Spectrum Community School (Canada) - Group of school children and teachers - Volunteering in Lusaka and Victoria Falls and South Luangwa safari
We just wanted to send a great big Canadian thank you for all the work you did in putting together such an amazing trip for us. The trip was life changing! The kids cannot stop talking about it and are already planning ways to get back there. I honestly think that for most of them, they won't have another trip like it. They have come back so changed and humbled and inspired. I can't thank you enough for all the work you put into making this happen for us. It was such a relief for me to know that everything was taken care of - a load off my shoulders, as caring for teens that have never travelled before in Africa was a big challenge. I also wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed Croc Valley. The staff there took such good care of us, and Liesel was like a mom away from home for all of us. One of my students is planning to go into hotel management after school and is even thinking of volunteering for a few months at Croc Valley to get experience.
Mr & Mrs Longworth (SA) - honeymoon to Inyati:
Thank you for helping us ogranise our honeymoon stay at Inyati. It was wonderful and I would recommend it and you to anyone.
Service recieved on a scale of 1 – 10? 9: prompt, knowledgeable, proactive
Mr & Mrs Botha (SA) went on safari to Madikwe Safari Lodge:
It was fantastic to deal with Jenny McGregor as she was very professional and efficient with assisting us with our booking
There is nothing I can add, just keep up the great service
Mr & Mrs Palmer - Honeymoon at Royal Swazi:
I think the service we received from Jenny and Janet was excellent & we would recommend Africa A-Z to friends & family
Andrea & Thomas (Germany) - Kololo Lodge, Walking safari in Kruger, self drive to Hluhluwe and up to Drakensberg:
Kololo Lodge was very comfortable with nice hosts and guides and good food.
We enjoyed the vicinity of Welgevonde. But we were very pleased to be allowed to hike on our own inside Kololo. You see so much more small animals, plants and footprints outside a car.
Horseback riding was another highlight of our time at Kololo. Apart from providing the horses she also is a very good guide (very professional, not the typical tourist horse thing)
The walking safari was the right thing for us at Kruger. These four days were the most intense experience of our trip. We'd love to repeat it. (very professional again, knowledgeable guides, good care)
Our little hotel in St. Lucia (Buya Futhi) was a real highlight. We found some exceptionally good restaurants and a beautiful beach. A nice guide took us on a kayaking trip to crocodiles and hippos.(cool to have so much to do on your own without previous arrangement)
Thanks again to you both for all that friendly help and support, we had a beautiful trip!
Ian Coppell & friends (UK) - Lesotho hiking and Pilanesberg & Soweto tour:
Everything went very, very smoothly. Thank you for your attention to detail. We were most impressed by the Maliba Mountain Lodge. Our hikes were wonderful, and we had a very relaxing couple of days after the stress of the race. I highly recommend it as a place to stay.
The guides for the short trips were also excellent. They were knowledgeable, and flexible to our needs.
Again, thank you!
Mr & Mrs Ernest-Jones (USA) - Kruger and Mauritius:
OUTSTANDING Service – Janet was always available, very friendly and informative. She provided me with several options and managed my last minute request to add a day to our trip beautifully.
I think it happened once that Janet was on vacation so her colleague replied to my emails even though they were not urgent and could wait for Janet to come back.
Great service!
I would most definitely recommend Africa A-Z to friends and family, and I already have.
The Owen Family (SA) - 8 members of the family went to Indigo Bay in Mozambique:
Thanks the trip was lovely and we were all very happy with our entire stay.
Thanks for your service , I will recommend Africa A-Z to friends.
