Ultimate Southern Africa honeymoon package at Lower Zambezi National Park, Victoria Falls, Zambezi Queen on Chobe River, and the romantic, private island of Quilalea in Mozambique.

This honeymoon package can be adjusted to suit your preferences and budget. We suggest using it as an example of what we can create for your ultimate Southern Africa honeymoon.
This package has been based on a combination of our accommodation specials including the honeymoon discount at Azura Quilalea (which unfortunately hasn't re-opened since Covid so we can use any other Mozambique resort), our Best of both Worlds package in the Lower Zambezi, and our stay 3, pay 2 offer at The River Club in Livingstone (now moved to our new website at https://africaa-z.travel/accommodation/the-river-club/, Victoria Falls.
Day 1:
This suggested itinerary starts in Lusaka (Zambia) but you could book your return flights to Johannesburg and then we can book the flight to Lusaka.
Fly from Lusaka to Royal Airstrip, Lower Zambezi National Park. Road & boat transfer from Royal Airstrip to Chiawa Camp.
STAY: 3 nights Chiawa Camp
Chiawa Camp:
Located in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park, only steps away from the banks of the Zambezi River, in one of the most game-rich areas of Zambia, Chiawa Camp, is comprised of nine luxurious "tents".
Founded and run by The Cumings Family who have vast experience in guiding, conservation, and the safari industry, guests are assured of the highest standards in all aspects of their safari at Chiawa Camp. What's even better ... with very little human presence in the area, the game is plentiful and numerous elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and other species are literally on the camp's doorstep!

Day 4:
Boat transfer from Chiawa Camp to Old Mondoro.
STAY: 2 nights Old Mondoro
Old Mondoro:
Intimate bush camp downstream from Chiawa, Old Mondoro is located in the wonderfully open area of Faidherbia Forest and only has 4 suites. The comfortable rooms are strung out along a hippo-friendly channel off the Zambezi, enjoying great views with their half-height walls and small decks.
Activities at Old Mondoro focus on game drives and boating, though the elephant and hippo activities around camp are enough to encourage a lodge-based safari! Tasty meals are served fireside or in the open-sided thatched dining room, and star-gazing in this remote spot makes a perfect pastime.

Day 6:
4x4 safari from Old Mondoro to Jeki Airstrip. Fly from Jeki Airstrip to Livingstone Airport (via Lusaka). Road & boat transfer from Livingstone Airport to The River Club.
STAY: 3 nights The River Club
The River Club:
The River Club is located on a magnificent vantage point that provides stunning views over a sweeping bend on the river. Privately owned and managed, The River Club is a charming oasis on the Zambezi River, situated 18 kilometers upstream from the renowned Victoria Falls – a World Heritage Site.
Overlooking the river and pods of hippos into the Zambezi National Park, the luxury chalets are renowned for their spectacular views. Steeped in history, founded during the establishment of Livingstone as a settler trading post, to a gateway for displaced people after World War II, and more recently a destination for Royal travelers and Hollywood stars. Peter Jones and the members of The River Club team are able to provide an intriguing insight into the rich and colorful history that surrounds Victoria Falls and its property.

Day 9:
Road transfer to Chobe for the ultimate romantic African river safari on the Zambezi Queen.
STAY: 2 nights on Zambezi Queen
Zambezi Queen:
Step aboard an elegant and sophisticated experience that has not lost the essence of all that is uniquely African. Experience the thrill of it all from your own private suite aboard the Zambezi Queen (also now on our new site at https://africaa-z.travel/zambezi-queen-houseboat-packages/, a luxury 45-meter boat that languorously glides along the banks of the great Chobe River and is uniquely found only a few kilometers from the point where 4 African countries meet, namely Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
The world-famous Chobe National Park, with its teeming wildlife and approximately 120 000 elephants and over 400 species of birds makes this an exceptional wildlife safari experience. A luxury river safari aboard the Zambezi Queen is all about pampered indulgence and superior comfort.

STAY: 1 night OVERNIGHT in Johannesburg (excluded in this package).

Azura Quilalea is a hidden gem, located on a small (35 ha) tropical island floating in the azure waters off Mozambique’s coast. It is the perfect retreat from the mania and pace of ‘normal’ life, with a relaxed and understated ‘Robinson Crusoe’ castaway atmosphere.
