The climate is similar to South Africa with rainfall mainly between December and March. February sometimes experiences cyclones especially further north. By April/May, the rains subside and the humidity drops.
June to October is the dry season (this is usually the best time to visit if you are looking for a beach holiday in Mozambique). June, July and August are Mozambique's coolest months; you'll need warmer clothes at night, even though the temperature reaches over 30°C by day. During September and October it remains dry as daytime temperatures climb, though it cools down a lot at night.
November is less predictable - sometimes the rains start (usually from the northern parts of Mozambique first).
