Victoria Falls Wedding Package – Celebrate your wedding, renew your vows or commemorate an anniversary on the very edge of Victoria Falls.

Wedding at the FallsLivingstone Island is a venue worth getting married for! The island was named in honour of the Scottish explorer Dr David Livingstone who first viewed Victoria Falls from this island. Imagine your wedding ceremony taking place on the very edge of the 300ft Batoka Gorge where the Zambezi thunders down to create the famous Victoria Falls, a wonder of the natural world.

Blessings can take place on Livingstone Island directly overlooking Victoria Falls, accompanied by the Tongabezi African Choir. Alternatively, you may prefer to celebrate on Sindabezi Island, our private retreat, which boasts magnificent views overlooking the Zambezi River and the nearby flood plain of the National Park. You can also choose to receive a blessing on one of the deserted islands near Tongabezi.

Please note a legal ceremony can take place on the island - there is a surcharge for transport of officials. Alternatively the legal ceremony takes place in the town hall.

We cater for small or large groups and can arrange suitable accommodation for all of your guests in the local area. We will take care of all the arrangements including the legalities required by the registry office for a registered marriage (yes a Zambian wedding is legal and accepted throughout the world), or arranging a priest for the blessing, the order of service (if required), plus flowers, menus, cakes, guest gifts, the choir and other local entertainment such as a DJ or local dancers.

Extra services that can be requested include:
His & Her relaxation and rejuvenation treatments
Hair styling appointments
Dry cleaning and pressing services for wedding attire

Tongabezi is ideally located on a sweeping bend, upstream from the Victoria Falls in Zambia. Sindabezi Island is a private island a short boat ride away.

Tongabezi accommodation: 5 River Cottages (3 twin on request); 3 Open fronted luxury thatched houses (Bird House, Tree House, Honeymoon House); 1 enclosed luxury cliff-top house (Nut House) and 1 enclosed double bedroom Dog House. The Garden House (WITHOUT river views) is perfect for families with two bedrooms, living room and plunge pool within its own private enclosure. All with bath and shower.

Privately owned and run, Tongabezi combines romance and exclusivity with warm and attentive service. Each house and cottage has its own valet who takes care of guests throughout their stay and act as a private concierge.

There is no set pattern to days at Tongabezi. Guests can do as much or as little as they wish, with game drives, bush walks and boating trips all included in the price. The majestic Victoria Falls can be viewed either by boat or helicopter.

Sindabezi Island is a private island paradise nestled in the waters of the Zambezi, upstream from Victoria Falls. It is the only African bush camp in the area. Here, in our haven of natural tranquillity, you will truly experience the sights and sounds of the African bush. From Sindabezi, the flood plain of the mighty Zambezi and the views of the wildlife in the nearby National Park will capture your soul.

Sindabezi Island accommodation: 4 open-fronted thatched chalets and 1 open-fronted Honeymoon Chalet. Two rooms have a bath as well as shower and three can convert to twin on request.

Your stay at Sindabezi Island begins with either a short boat ride or a guided canoe trip down the Zambezi River to the island. Along the way there are opportunities for game viewing as we pass close to the shores where animals wander to drink at the river’s edge. The main camp area is set on the sand and is the perfect place to relax and take in the peace and tranquillity of this tiny island.

Sindabezi Island is named after the River Shinde where it meets the Zambezi River right near the location of the island.

Sleeping only 10 guests in five open fronted thatched chalets on wooden decks overlooking the river Sindabezi is also the most environmentally friendly island in the river – with zero grid dependence. Rooms are lit romantically with hurricane lamps, candles and starlight at night. Our island manager and team of staff will look after guest’s every need to ensure an unforgettable experience.

Sindabezi can be combined with Tongabezi or as a standalone stay from where you can enjoy all activities on offer at Tongabezi. The island can also be booked as a private experience when travelling in a group or as a family.
