Thonga Beach Lodge - 3 nights
Thonga Beach Lodge is only meters from the beach and a 25-minute drive from Lake Sibaya (Southern Africa’s largest freshwater lake). With 60kms of pristine, soft white sandy beaches to explore, it’s about as far away from civilization as you can get.
The spacious, thatched suites are hidden in the coastal dune forest and raised on wooden stilts to ensure no harm comes to the sensitive dune soils. Inspired by Thonga architecture, the rooms have been carefully positioned to guarantee guest privacy. Tucked into the tranquil sand forest alongside the Kosi Lake system is an unspoiled wilderness lodge that offers 8 bush suites hidden within the forest. Unique outdoor en-suite bathrooms are set in soft, white beach sand under Umdoni trees, providing a truly romantic experience. If you can drag yourselves out of the rooms, try guided canoe trips along peaceful channels, secluded forest walks, and boat trips through the lakes followed by a picnic lunch on the beach.
