South Africa Suggested Itinerary - This is the ideal way to experience the northern Kruger and Pafuri is perhaps the best area for walking in Kruger National Park.

Led by an experienced armed guide and tracker, accommodation is in four walk-in en-suite dome tents ensuring that guests are intimately connected with the surrounding wilderness.
The Pafuri region is famous for its seasonal large herds of elephants and buffalo while hippos and crocodiles are abundant on the Luvuvhu River. The area has the highest density of nyala in Kruger and species such as eland, Sharpe's grysbok and yellow-spotted rock dassie are present. Good general game like impala, kudu, baboon, waterbuck, warthog, and perhaps grey duiker or bushbuck can be seen, as well as elusive lion and leopard. The area has long been seen as a Mecca for southern African birdwatchers.
We recommend a 3-night safari so see below for an idea of what to expect on your Northern Kruger walking safari:
Day 1
We meet our guide at the Luvuvhu River Bridge. After parking the cars, settling in at the Trails Camp, and a safety briefing, we head out for a short afternoon walk. On return to camp, we enjoy a hot shower, drinks, and an evening meal under the African stars.
Guests stay in a mobile tented camp. The tents have comfortable camping beds with mattresses and bedding as well as chemical toilets. We also supply bucket showers with hot water. All meals and activities are included but please note that drinks are not.
Days 2 & 3

We depart early for a morning walk. Distance and duration may vary, but generally, we spend three to four hours following game paths before returning to camp for brunch. After a siesta, we head out on either a short afternoon walk or drive.
Day 4
After the customary early wake-up, we depart on a shorter morning walk, arriving back at trails camp where we enjoy a final hearty brunch before being transferred back to our vehicles.
Departure Dates
The season operates from 1st April to 31st October every year.
