Singita Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve
The Sabi Sand is a privately owned game reserve adjacent to Kruger National Park, and together the two areas make up some of South Africa’s most incredible and pristine land. Singita Sabi Sand has been owned by the Bailes family who have acted as the dedicated custodians of this precious part of South Africa’s natural heritage since 1926. With the opening of its first lodge, Ebony Lodge, in 1994, Singita’s philosophy has been to protect large tracts of wilderness and wildlife populations for future generations. Prior to the lodge’s construction, this part of the Sabi Sand had been completely inaccessible save for Singita’s environmental team and the owner’s family. Since Singita Ebony Lodge opened and subsequently Singita Boulders Lodge, guests have shared the privilege of experiencing this carefully protected part of South Africa.

Spanning more than 45,000 acres, Singita Sabi Sand is renowned for high concentrations of big game and frequent leopard sightings.

During your stay at Singita Ebony & Boulders Lodge, you are likely to spot a great variety of wildlife, including species such as leopard, lion, rhino, large herds of buffalo, elephant, reedbuck, hyena, hippopotamus, nyala, cheetah, wild dogs and man y types of birds.

Singita Ebony Lodge:
Singita Ebony Lodge - Sabi accommodation
Singita Ebony Lodge, in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve offers rare solitude and the ultimate in safari luxury on prime game viewing land recognised globally for its diversity and formidable concentration of big game and frequent leopard sightings. The lodge overlooks the Sand River and offers lavish comforts that have earned Singita the highest international accolades.

Singita Ebony Lodge is a fresh and contemporary interpretation of the classic safari lodge, combining tented camp and bush lodge style. Inspired by the romance and adventure of tented camps, explorers’ abodes and campaign furniture, Ebony’s interiors are enhanced by the lustre of well-polished ebony and mahogany woods and natural fibres in cool tones. All this is brought to life by the rich, golden glow of old brass, hand-woven baskets, traditional khaki and beige tent canvas and exposed thatch.
The lodge comprises 12 suites, each with its own private plunge pool:
8 x Suites ideal for singles and couples traveling together. One inter-leading unit is available for groups travelling together.
2 x Lewis Suites ideal for families with teenage children. The suites are right next to each other and within close proximity to the main lodge area.
2 x Family Suites ideal for families with small children. The family suites include an en-suite master bedroom and an en-suite twin bedroom as well as a dining and lounge veranda area with a stone fireplace, and a private viewing deck with heated plunge pool.
1 x Villa comprises the two Family Suites with access to an additional private lounge, swimming pool and deck area, which connects these two individual suites. Ebony Villa will includes a private guide and vehicle, chef, host and banakeli (personal waiter). There is a private entrance and boma, so small groups searching for complete seclusion will be at ease. The Ebony Villa is suited to up to four adults and four children under 12 years, or up to six adults and teenagers.
External walls have been almost completely removed and replaced by canvas and glass to create new safari tent-style suites to maximise views and space, and allow guests to be immersed in nature.  Outdoor pavilion decks – ideal for dining and relaxing – are suspended off the river banks as if hanging in the trees.
Note: Children of all ages are welcome.

Singita Boulders Lodge:
Singita Boulders Lodge - Sabi accommodation
Singita Boulders Lodge has a contemporary air of tranquillity that honors Africa in an authentic way. Inspiring the name Boulders was an enormous boulder that sat right in the middle of the place where the wine cellar was to be built. A simple decision was made to build the cellar around the boulder! Guests can enjoy wrap-around views from most parts of the natural stone lodge, and the lookout deck offers the perfect spot from which to observe wildlife drawn to the Sand River. The quiet pond alongside the thatched lounge area allows the light and the landscape inside to the wide open spaces, where straw baskets, neutral shades and textured fabrics complement wooden furniture.

Singita Boulders Lodge offers twelve suites, all with their own en suite bathroom and shower, private sitting room and game viewing deck with private heated plunge pool, creating the perfect sanctuary for guests during their stay.
8 x River Suites are found along the river facing stretch of the property.
2 x Bush Suites overlook a well visited watering hole and the untouched wilderness.
2 x Family suites include an en-suite master bedroom and an en-suite twin bedroom as well as a dining and lounge veranda area with a stone fireplace, and a private viewing deck with heated plunge pool.
Note: Children over the age of 10 are welcome.
Singita Kruger National Park
Singita’s concession in the Kruger National Park was granted in 2001 in part, because of Singita’s outstanding record and steadfast commitment to conservation as well as its minimal environmental footprint. Singita Kruger National Park’s mission is to create and maintain a balance between conservation, community development, and ecotourism. The lodges, Singita Lebombo and Sweni, have been built with this ideal in mind and both integrate the ‘touch the earth lightly’ philosophy into every aspect of their daily operations.

Singita Lebombo and Sweni Lodges lie in the southeastern reaches of the Kruger National Park, on South Africa’s border with Mozambique. Situated on 33,000 acres, Singita’s concession is an isolated piece of pristine wilderness where a unique wildlife population thrives across four distinct ecological-zones.

This area is especially well-known for the remarkable concentration of the ‘Big 5’ and four particularly formidable prides of lions.

During your stay at Singita Lebombo & Sweni Lodges, you are likely to spot a great variety of wildlife, including leopard, famously large prides of lion, white rhino, black rhino, buffalo, elephant, hippopotamus, cheetah and sable.

Singita Sweni Lodge:
Singita Sweni Lodge luxury accommodation in Krguer National Park
Singita Sweni Lodge was influenced by the structures of dens, warrens and lairs found in the area. Flanking the Sweni River, this tranquil sanctuary is elevated on stilts with decks of timber. Even when you’re indoors, you’ll have the sensation of being close to the river and trees. Singita Sweni Lodge is nestled beautifully amongst hundreds of trees at the edge of the Sweni River. In this tranquil, intimate hideaway, the decks of the lodge seem to hover in the branches, while inside, rich calming colours and textures echo the hues of the natural surroundings.
With its proximity to the river, guests at Singita Sweni Lodge are treated to up-close sightings of the incredible number of animals and birds that wander down to drink or wallow in the river.
An intimate hideaway hosting 6 suites; with decks that seem to hover in the branches and interiors that echo the hues of the natural surroundings. Designed with open-plan living in mind, your suite flows from the bathroom area, through to the lounge and into the bedroom – yet if you wish, each area may be sealed off by curtains. Try the outdoor shower overlooking the river or – for a magical experience – ‘camp out’ under the stars on the day bed out on your viewing deck. Dressed in earthy chocolate and calming pistachio shades that echo the deep, dark hues of the riverine forest, the suites are svelte wood and glass boxes designed to float above the river.
Each tree house is connected to the other via elevated wooden walkways that are nestled in the branches of the surrounding trees. Living spaces are conducive to open-air living with floor-to-ceiling glass walls, timber decks for private dining and a magical outdoor shower and star bed for intimate ‘camp-outs’.

Singita Lebombo Lodge:
Singita Lebombo Lodge Kruger National Park accommodation
Offering contemporary African chic, Singita Lebombo Lodge is a celebration of light and comfort with intrinsic touches that delight the senses. Structurally inspired by an eagle’s nest the 13 suites and one private-use villa perch high above the N’wanetsi River. A spectacular cliffside pool offsets views of the Lebombo Mountain foothills.
The design of these light-filled structures, floating between river and sky, was inspired by the many eagles’ nests built into the cliff face of the river bank. Sophisticated and contemporary, the glass-walled suites are romantic hideaways leading outdoors onto elevated wooden viewing decks where guests may sleep out with nothing more than mosquito netting between them and the stars. Throughout the lodge, the imaginative use of glass, wood, steel, and layered fabrics in muted shades invites the surrounding landscape indoors.
The private villa is the most exciting extension of the lodge; set apart from the main lodge, it features two 2-bedroom suites, each with a private pool, that link together to create a spectacular exclusive-use four-bedroom offering with a stunning shared pool. Built low down on the river bank beneath mature trees, the private villa is fully staffed, has an open- plan kitchen and its own boma.
Other highlights of the lodge include a roof terrace and wine studio (a multi-level retreat which boasts a library, multi-media room, wine studio and rooftop viewing area), an interactive kitchen, an espresso bar and help-yourself deli, and an additional 25-metre lap pool. All communal areas of the lodge have been pushed out to ensure that the outside bursts in, offering elegant, calm and meditative spaces immersed in a dramatic landscape of giant euphorbia trees.
Children aged 10 and over are welcome. All normal safari activities can be tailored to suit families. In the interest of safety, children’s participation in game activities is at the discretion of your guide.
