Tuli Safari Lodge Mashatu

Tuli Safari Lodge wildlife

The 4* Tuli Safari Lodge Mashatu is in the Northern Tuli Game Reserve; a unique and historically significant location where the country meets its neighbors Zimbabwe and South Africa. Where two magnificent rivers meet; the Limpopo and the Shashe. Tuli has unique terrain and ecology compared to the rest of Botswana; with dominating basalt formations and huge sections of sandstone hills and ridges, networks of (mostly dry) riverbeds, and riverine forests; as well as open grasslands and marshy areas. From vantage points on top of the rock formations, the plains of Botswana stretch away to the north.

The Northern Tuli Game Reserve is a true haven for wildlife. There are 48 large mammal species in the reserve, totaling approximately twenty thousand animals; which include elephants, fifteen large herbivore species, and three large cat species; to mention but a few. Tuli Safari Lodge Mashatu is one of the few places where elephants and elephant shrews are almost guaranteed sightings; sometimes from the same location at the same time! It forms part of the Mashatu Portfolio which includes Mashatu Lodge, Mashatu Tent Camp, and Mashatu Euphorbia Villas.
