Camp Kuzuma is a private and exclusive safari lodge situated in the pristine Kazuma Forest reserve in the Chobe region of Botswana. Located 85km from Kasane in Northern Botswana and approximately an hour’s drive from the Kasane airport, the camp offers a unique Botswana Safari experience.
Overlooking a regularly frequented waterhole and open plains of the Kazuma Pans, the lodge is situated in the busiest elephant corridor that joins two of the world’s greatest parks: The Chobe National Park in Botswana and the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe.
With over 20 000 hectares of private traversing concession, Camp Kuzuma offers an incredible and unforgettable African wilderness experience. Guests can enjoy spacious accommodations, delectable food, rejuvenating wellness treatments, and exhilarating explorations on land or water. The aim of Camp Kuzuma is to minimize the carbon footprint. Power is generated through batteries, hot water is supplied by solar geysers and the entire camp is connected by wooden walkways raised over a meter above the ground.
The natural plant life at Camp Kuzuma is carefully preserved by elevated wooden walkways that connect the 5 Luxury Tented Suites to the main guest areas. The main lodge area, built under a large canvas tent, is home to an open-plan bar, lounge, and dining area. The main area extends onto a large wooden deck with a sparkling swimming pool that overlooks a floodlit waterhole that is frequently visited by an abundance of wildlife including elephants and lions. Whilst staying at Camp Kuzuma, take the opportunity to experience the well-appointed bush spa which offers a variety of treatments.
The abundance of wildlife roaming the private forestry area of the Kazuma Plains is a sight to behold. Herds roam the open plains: wildebeest, elephant, buffalo, roan antelope, sable, giraffe, lion, and leopard are commonly seen in the area.

Custom-built, open plan Luxury Tented Suites, up to 49 square meters in size, situated under a canopy of Mopane trees, offer luxury and comfort in this magnificent wilderness area. Night-time noises filter through canvas walls and well-used animal trails bring unexpected visitors to thrill and delight. Each suite exudes a romantic and nostalgic ambiance with safari memorabilia throughout. All suites are luxurious spaces and tastefully decorated with the use of crisp white linens and spacious king-size beds – with twin options available – welcome weary bodies after a long day filled with discovery.
En-suite bathrooms offer high-back Victorian baths, double basins with ‘his and hers’ inside showers, or venture to the outside showers while watching the game pass by.

Camp Kuzuma closes annually during the wet season from 1 December to the end of February.
Rates include: Accommodation, all meals (breakfast, high-Tea, and 3-course dinner), water, soft drinks, beers, ciders, mixers, and house wine, 2 game activities per day (game drives / walks), laundry (one bag of laundry per room, per stay), Chobe River cruise including drinks and snacks on arrival/departure day for accommodation bookings of 2 nights and more
Rates exclude: Transfers, Imported and Premium brand drinks, Victoria Falls day trips, Fishing expeditions, Hot air Balloon Excursion
Child Policy:
* Children aged 7 – 17 years (Maximum 2 children) stay free of charge when sharing with 2 adults
* Children occupying their own chalet:
- children aged 7 – 12 pay 50% of the adult rate and children aged 13 to 17 pay 75% of the adult rate
Guests are asked to note that no childcare or babysitters are available. Children must be under the care of their parents at all times. Private activities have to be booked for families staying with children younger than 6 years old at an additional rate, subject to availability.
