DAY 01
Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge accommodation
Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport guest are met and transferred to Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge. Imbabala is a small unpretentious safari lodge offering a true "African Safari Experience" on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River.

Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge is situated on a riverine fringe of the mighty Zambezi River where Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and Namibia converge. Located 80 kilometers west of Victoria Falls, access is by transfer from Victoria Falls, Livingstone or Kasane.

Imbabala offers the chance to unwind but also some of the most amazing game viewing and bird watching in the region, in the seclusion of a private National Parks concession. The 5,000 acre concession has 14 kilometers of private Zambezi river frontage and borders the Chobe Forest Reserve, which is renowned for its massive Elephant population.

Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge offers accommodation for only 18 guests in 8 individual thatch lodges with en-suite facilities. Each lodge is uniquely decorated and beautifully positioned with spacious verandas opening onto sweeping views of the Zambezi River. Imbabala has one family lodge, (Sleeps 4), four double and three twin-bedded lodges. All doubles can be converted to twins on request and vice versa.

DAY 02
Early morning game drive, Brunch at Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge. Afternoon high tea before departing on a river safari.

DAY 03
Early morning game drive, Brunch at Imbabala. Guests are transferred to Vic Falls Town for a Tour of the Falls. Time at leisure in Vic Falls Town. Lunch at The Lookout Cafe.
Guests are collected for their Upper Zambezi Canoeing Safari at 4pm . After a game drive through the Zambezi National Park, guests arrive at our riverside camp. The guide will give a thorough briefing, which will cover; conditions of the river and rapids, canoeing instruction, safety and general information. Clients will be asked to sign an indemnity form. The afternoon is spent canoeing the Zambezi.

Overnight camping on the banks of the Zambezi River (meals, limited drinks and camping equipment included).

Kalai River Camp is situated approximately 25kms upstream from Victoria Falls in the Zambezi National Park and is a mobile rustic bush camp. It is important to note that it is not a “luxury permanent lodge”! The camp is fully backed up by a team of staff that set up camp in preparation for client’s arrival.

The camp comprises of large walk in tents, equipped with camp beds, mattresses, sheets, pillows and duvets, camping water basin (which are filled with hot water each morning), a paraffin lantern, a bedside table and hand towels. There is also a portable toilet and hot shower in camp. The camp and dining table are set up under the stars on the riverbank with stunning views of the river.

On all overnight trips limited beers and minerals are provided (approximately 2 per person per night), wine (1 bottle per 2 pax). If you want other alcoholic or imported drinks you must supply your own. During winter months (April, May, June, July and August), the evenings and early mornings will be very cold. Space is limited; we suggest one carry bag per person.

DAY 04
Canoe on the Zambezi River
A full English Breakfast is served in the morning before an hour game drive upstream to the put- in point. Today is spent canoeing - (18kms) - downstream, running small grade one and two rapids, exploring channels and bird and game viewing. This day includes the Sansimba rapids. A picnic lunch is served on the mainland or an island.

DAY 05
A delightful English breakfast is served, after which clients board their canoes and the day is spent canoeing another 18 kms downstream to the mighty Victoria Falls Falls. Rapids canoed today include the “Kandahar Rapids”. The scenery, channels and the rapids on both respective days are very different. Cold minerals & beers are served at the end of the canoe safari.

Clients are transferred the short distance back to Victoria Falls and arrive at The Elephant Camp in the late afternoon. This afternoon guests will enjoy an elephant interaction.

Situated on a private concession within and bounded by the Masuwe River and the Zambezi gorges, The Elephant Camp has breathtaking views of the Victoria Falls spray, and the spectacular gorges which separate Zimbabwe and Zambia. The Elephant Camp is a luxury and intimate lodge under canvas within easy reach of Victoria Falls and all its attractions and activities, yet secluded in its own private game reserve so as to allow close-up encounters with wildlife. Access is by road transfer from Victoria Falls (15 kilometers from Victoria Falls Airport and 10 kilometers from Victoria Falls town), Livingstone and Kasane. The Elephant Camp offers exclusive suite accommodation for only 18 guests in 9 luxury tents.

Old Drift Lodge:

Upstream of the iconic Victoria Falls, on the banks of the Zambezi River, lies Old Drift Lodge. The lodge boasts luxury accommodation overlooking the pristine Zambezi National Park, a mere 7 kilometers from the mighty Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Old Drift Lodge is nestled within a wild paradise frequented by elephant, buffalo, herds of sable, eland, zebra, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck and impala.

The main lodge area will have 360 degree views, North facing onto the Zambezi & South facing onto a water hole. A 7 kilometre stretch of river flows between the camp and the town of Victoria Falls, making Old Drift Lodge the closest lodge within the National Park to Victoria Falls.

The spacious canvas en-suite rooms exhibit and air of elegance that blends in seamlessly with the natural environment. The suites are resplendent with stylish furnishings and fittings, accentuated by an indoor and outdoor shower, private plunge pool and bath with a view.

DAY 06
Breakfast at The Elephant Camp/Old Drift Lodge followed by a morning Tour of the Falls. Road transfer to Victoria Falls Airport.
