A total of 173 en suite guestrooms in 17 x riverbank residences; make up a hotel that exudes Colonial / Victorian elegance and Africa’s tribal warmth. Down to the finest detail of the lamps, the magnificent paintings, and the black and white photographs of early pioneers; this is a place to reflect and rejuvenate. Room types

32 x Premier Rooms and 103 x Deluxe Rooms of 30m² have en-suite bathrooms, a dressing room area, a lounge area, and a verandah/deck. 6 of the Deluxe Rooms are interleading making them perfect for families. The Premier Rooms have garden views and the Deluxe Rooms have either garden or river views.
The 34 x Deluxe Corner Rooms are the same as above with a separate tub and rain shower. Also; the verandah / deck is enclosed. This ensures ultimate privacy.
The above rooms can be king beds or twin beds.

In the perfect location overlooking the great Zambezi River; 3 x Livingstone Suites are 65m² and configured as king bedrooms. They also have an enclosed verandah/deck for privacy.

The Presidential Suite is 88m² and consists of a king bed with all the interior luxuries of a 5-star suite. An expansive terrace with outdoor dining and river views tops it off. Additionally; there is a separate living and dining room. This suite has an interleading door to a Twin Room. It, therefore, is perfect for a harmonious constellation of family or friends.  The Presidential Suite has housed royalty, heads of state, and celebrities. But each room is sure to inspire a similar feeling of quality in those who stay here.

Families staying at The Royal Livingstone Hotel

The Royal Livingstone Hotel in Zambia welcomes children of all ages.

Children up to twelve years of age stay for free on a rollaway bed; when sharing with 2 adults on a bed & breakfast basis.
Teenagers between 13 – 17 years of age are charged a supplement of USD 100 per room, per night on a bed & breakfast basis; when sharing the same room with parents, on a rollaway bed.
The Presidential suite can inter lead with a Deluxe room; therefore; it can accommodate 2 x adults and up to 3 x children under 18 years old. An additional child can also be accommodated on a rollaway bed.
All rooms can accommodate up to 1 child except if you take the Presidential Suite with a Deluxe Room.

Meal plan supplements will be applicable to children.

Victoria Falls activities

There are so many activities on the Livingstone side of the Victoria Falls but it also has the Royal Livingstone Express; a lovingly restored steam locomotive of polished leather, teak, and brass. Departing from Livingstone through Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and the Zambezi River Valley; marvel at the sight of wild giraffes, zebras, and antelope. The other unique activity on the Zambian side of the Falls is Devil’s Pool on Livingstone Island; a truly fantastic experience; where you swim on the edge of the Falls. Devil’s Pool is usually open between mid-August and mid-January; depending on Zambezi water levels.

Getting here

The hotel is a 25-minute drive from Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Livingstone Airport. Travel by car (private or shared transfer) through the historic town of Livingstone; or cruise down the Zambezi by water taxi. For the water taxi; after transferring to the jetty; you will board a 4×4 river safari boat. Traverse the waters of the mighty Zambezi River alongside hippos, crocodiles, and elephants; arriving directly in front of this riverfront hotel.

Alternatively; travel to the resort in style. From Livingstone Airport, we can arrange a helicopter transfer direct to The Royal Livingstone helipad; for a sensationally scenic arrival over Victoria Falls.

Transfers are also available to and from Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls Airport.
