Knysna is one of the Garden Route´s best known towns and is situated between lush forests and the shores of a peaceful estuary with activities for all ages including famous golf courses like Pezula and Simola.

Knysna Heads

The Knysna Heads flank a deep channel through which the sea pours in to the breathtaking lagoon at the mouth of the Knysna River. The area is one of the most scenic in the world and offers beaches, lakes and lush forests to play in.

Knysna is a friendly town renowned for its artists & alternative-living community.

The area also hosts some of the biggest wildlife creatures - the Humpback and Southern Right whales visit the coastline during the months of May and September to breed in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and Knysna is also home to the only forest elephants in South Africa.

Knysna is approximately 510km's from Cape Town International Airport and George Airport is a mere 65 km away and provides a variety of daily flight options. Port Elizabeth airport is approximately 280 km from Knysna.
